Friendly Educators FAQs

What’s in store for my Monday?

Kids can choose from multiple core academic and elective classes to fill up from 1-5 class hours. Parents will stay on campus, observing their children’s classes, volunteering when scheduled, or just hanging out with friends on the comfy couches in the lovely coffee bar area. New this year are classes for moms! We want this to be your favorite day of the week – a place where you can find resources to help your kids and friends to fill your heart! Classes will be held at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2 p.m. At noon, the entire campus will meet together for lunch and worship.

What will I do with my preschooler?

You may sign up preschool-age siblings of students enrolled in Friendly Educators for classes as listed in our course descriptions, or you may supervise them yourself on the playground or in the nursery. The nursery offers play space, rocking chairs, a nursing room, and a crib room.

What’s my commitment?

Parents must commit to remain on campus with their preK-8th grade children (this is not a drop-off program). Parents who only have high school students participating are encouraged but not required to stay. Regardless of the age of your children, you will be assigned to a rotating parent work duty team (morning set-up, lunch clean-up, or afternoon clean-up). The number of times you will be required to work will depend on the number of families enrolled. You will also need to work with your children on assignments during the week (one hour per week is NOT enough time to cover any subject). You are still the teacher – our goal is to enrich what you are teaching at home – but we do ask that you make every effort to attend class and to keep up with any work assigned. In addition, we ask that you commit to participating in the classes for the entire year.

What is the cost and how do I pay?

Each family is required to pay a one-time, non-refundable fee of $125 upon registering for classes.  Tuition varies depending on the classes chosen (see course descriptions for exact amts).

When you register, you are committing to pay for the entire year, even if you withdraw part-way through.

All payments are handled online with STRIPE.  There are two payment options:

  1. ACH bank draft:  No transaction fees

  2. Credit/Debit cards: Transaction fee is 3.00% + $0.55 per transaction

All registration fees and study hall fees will be due at the time of registration.

We offer three payment plans for class tuition:

  1. Full Payment - Pay in full at registration

  2. 2 Installment Payment Plan - You will pay a $25 deposit on each class and the remainder of the tuition is due August 1st

  3. 3 Installment Payment Plan - You will pay a $25 deposit per class at registration and the remaining tuition will be split into two payments - one due on August 1st and the other due on November 1st.
