Class Description: Using the Institute for Excellence in Writing’s “Ancient History-Based Writing Lessons,” students will learn multiple forms of writing. We will go through nine units, including note taking and outlines, summarizing references, and formal essays. We will also read several books based on the ancient world.
Curriculum: IEW’s “Ancient History-Based Writing Lessons”
Homework Requirements: Students will work on perfecting outlining methods and writing in various genres. Expect approximately 2 hours a week outside of class.

Teacher Bio: Callie Cornelius is a homeschool graduate and current college student pursuing a degree in Classical Civilizations at UNCG. Callie benefited from learning from a wide range of curriculum during her homeschool education, including Classical Conversations and Veritas Press. She is passionate about the homeschool community and providing families with the best education. This will be her third year teaching at FE.
