Course Description: This engineering class is for those who love science, math and hands-on projects! Engineering is simply the application of science and math and experience to produce an object or a process that is useful. Home schoolers especially need to begin to experience their world and ask questions of how things work and then find the answers. The basic objective of engineering is to use scientific methods and principles to produce useful devices and devices that serve all of us. We will learn by doing projects about all different areas of engineering from structural and civil, aeronautical, biomedical and more. Each week we will do an activity, experiment or make a project. We will also have at least two challenge/competitions to see the skills your student has learned along the way. Come join us!

Teacher Bio:This class is taught by Jennie Weekley, a professional math tutor and teacher who runs her own tutoring business and has taught at FE for 12 years. She has a degree in early childhood education and homeschooled her three children who are now all finding success in the working world.
