Course: Introduction to Spanish for Grades 3-5
Instructor: Abigail Hicks
Class Description: Introductory Spanish is a way for students to get a little taste of the Spanish language and culture. Students will learn basic conversation Spanish. Class will be conducted in a mixture of Spanish and English. Class will be a relaxed atmosphere so that all students can learn at their own pace. Students will learn how to introduce themselves to different people, ask and receive identification information, alphabet, numbers, time, colors, shapes and much more. Students will also learn more about the Spanish culture and different holidays that they may celebrate.

Homework Requirements: We will do a country project that we will display at the end of the year. It is also recommended that students study the vocabulary if they plan to use it in conversations.
Duration: 28 weeks
Books and Supplies required for purchase by families: Students will need to have a folder or notebook to carry their handouts, something to write with and occasionally we will need glue/scissors (I will tell you in advance when we need something more than a folder and something to write with in class).
