Course Description: Life skills include so many topics from personal and home organization, meal making, budgeting, interviewing for jobs, bible study, first aid, car care, investing and leadership skills. We cover even more topics including money management and can you afford to leave home. We begin the year looking at the five year plan for where they might want to be. With God’s help, we look at all the aspects of their lives so far and think more about how to live independently and be thriving in the college years and beyond. This class was designed by a homeschool mom with worksheets and projects to do in class and a few at home. Twice each semester, the students will prepare an entire meal for your family. This elective class is meant to cover a lot of topics that moms and dads wish their kids knew when they left the nest.

Curriculum used by Instructor: Life Pro 101
Books & Supplies required for purchase by families: Folder or 3 ring binder 
Homework Requirements: An hour (or 2) a week
Duration: 28 weeks

Teacher Bio: This class is taught by Jennie Weekley, a professional math tutor and teacher who runs her own tutoring business and has taught at FE for 12 years. She has a degree in early childhood education and homeschooled her three children who are now all finding success in the working world.
