Course: PE: Cooperative Games & Physical Fitness for Grades 3-5
Instructor: Windy Sasser
Class Description: Who wants better brain health? How about stronger muscles and bones? Would you like to have improved cognition, physical fitness, and social skills? This is the class for you! In this class you will have improvement in all of those areas while developing sportsmanship, body awareness and skills in both locomotor (jumping, skipping, running, etc.) and non locomotor (stretching, balancing, bending, turning, etc. ) while having fun. Oh and all of this while integrating math and Bible memory throughout the various activities. Each class will follow a similar schedule: warm up, stretching, skill development, and 1-2 of the various types of games including: cooperative, health and fitness games, invasion, target, net, striking, and fielding, fundamental movement skills games, and chasing and fleeing games. Classes will be indoor and outdoor. Please dress for the weather and always have comfortable clothes for moving and always wear comfortable tennis shoes/sneakers.

Teacher Bio: Windy Sasser is a homeschooling mom and former public elementary school teacher. She has a degree in Elementary Education and Biblical Counseling. She taught elementary grades in Guilford County Public Schools until she decided to stay home after her first daughter was born. She has three sweet daughters now and is presently leading each of them through their education at home.
