Course Description:

Who was Ferdinand Magellan? What was the St. Bartholomew’s Day Massacre? History seems so boring – why does it matter? If you’ve been bored in other history classes, be prepared to have your mind blown this semester! We’ll be fully immersing ourselves in history, beginning with The Wars of the Roses, and ending around the time of Isaac Watts. There will be chances for debate and discussion during class time depending on the lesson. Weekly homework will consist of reading from the text, written assignments, and projects. There will also be a test/quiz given in this class approximately every other week. Stepheny Seabolt started homeschooling her three amazing kids in 2013, and hasn’t looked back since! She graduated with an AAS in Business Administration from Guilford Technical Community College in 2016, and says that she’ll return to school at a later date…for fun. Stepheny has taught other co-op classes since fall of 2016, and strives to find ways to keep students engaged while learning. (26 weeks)
