Micro Business Planning and Accounting 101 for Grades 9-12 (2:00)
Course: Micro Business Planning and Accounting 101 for Grades 9-12 (2:00)
Instructor: Stepheny Seabolt
Curriculum: SchoolhouseTeachers.com Courses
Teenagers want to buy things, so they normally need to go out and get a job, right? Wrong! Why not teach them to start their own business instead? In the first semester of this course, we’ll be covering how to create a business plan, as well as how to start a micro-business. In the second semester, we’ll be covering all things accounting, from the basics to receivables, and everything in between. There will be assignments to be completed at home during the week, as well as plenty of discussion and hands-on elements.
Stepheny Seabolt started homeschooling her three amazing kids in 2013, and hasn’t looked back since! She graduated with an AAS in Business Administration from Guilford Technical Community College in 2016, and says that she’ll return to school at a later date…for fun. Stepheny has taught other co-op classes since fall of 2016, and strives to find ways to keep students engaged while learning.
