World Religions for Grades 7-12 (11:00)
Course: World Religions - Grades 7-12

Course Description: This course will dive into the major world religions. We will explore the history of each religion, the differences and similarities between the different religions, misconceptions regarding each different religion, and how we as Christians can still believe the Scripture is true.
Curriculum: Instructor developed curriculum. However, the following books will be guides used to develop the curriculum:
- World Religions 3rd ed. :A Guide to the Essentials by Robinson and Rodrigues
- Confessing Christ as Lord of All in a Pluralistic World by Truesdale
- World Religions in Seven Sentences: A Small Introduction to a Vast Topic by Groothuis
- Other online sources
- The Bible.
Books and Supplies required for purchase by families: A notebook and pens or pencils. Students may use a laptop for note taking, but it is definitely not a requirement.
Homework: Homework will center around written papers.
Duration: 28 weeks
Grading: This class will be graded on a 10 point scale (90-100 is an A, 80-89 is a B, 70-79 is a C, 60-69 is a D, 59 or below is an F)
Teacher Bio: I graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History. I taught High School at St. Fancies Xavier Catholic High School in Sumter South Carolina from 2016 until 2020. During that time, I was the head of the Social Studies Department as well. I taught Intro to College Courses at Central Carolina Technical College from 2018 until 2021. I have been teaching in the children and youth ministries at Triad Church since the summer of 2021. I have been licensed as a Pastor through Triad Church since the spring of 2023.
