Course Description: This year-long Leadership Development class will include everything from what is leadership and influence, to overcoming obstacles that may challenge us in walking in our God- given leadership Influence to the value of positive mental attitude and how to improve upon it,  and everything in between!  We will also take the opportunity once / month to dive into a leadership training podcast by world-renown leadership author and trainer,  Dr. John Maxwell. The "textbook" for this class will be the book "Clout: Discover and Unleash Your God-Given Influence" supplemented with other leadership development resources provided by the Instructor.

Curriculum used by Instructor:  "Clout: Discover and Unleash Your God-Given Influence."  
Books & Supplies required for purchase by families:  Hard copy of the book "Clout: Discover and Unleash Your God-Given Influence."  (estimated cost $20) and 1 inch 3- ring binder and notebook paper (estimated cost $5)
Homework Requirements:  Approx 2 hours / week, primarily light reading outside of class
Duration: 28 weeks 
Grading: Will be comprised primarily of class participation and (1) 1-page typed paper on a famous leader each semester. (1st semester leader in American history / 2nd semester leader in the Bible)
Course Credit: 1 elective 
Teacher Bio: As a business owner with degrees in Biology and Chemistry coupled with years of teaching experience (I taught college-level Anatomy & Physiology to nursing students, multiple high school sciences in private christian school, and now homeschool teacher) as well as entrepreneurship / leadership coaching of business owners over the last 25 years, I'm excited to have the opportunity to share this incredible class with your student. Everyone has within them all it takes to be a great leader with significant positive influence and I look forward to helping students unleash this within themselves in a higher capacity!!
